SWAT 4 : The Stecthkov SyndicateIntroduction : An add on pack to last years SWAT 4. This expansion pack requires SWAT 4 to install.
It was good to play more levels as this was one my fave games of last year, on the original SWAT 4 as expected the levels start of easy and progress to larger missions with more terroists/robbers. A lot of the later levels were very hard and took many attempts to do, as expected. Unfortunately Stetchkov only has 7 missions, and it makes the mistake of making the first few small and easy.
As it's an expansion pack there should be no need to break the player in again with easy, small levels as the have had that 'tutorial' on the previous offering. So that only leaves a few missions that give you a challenge in a good size location.
The three that offer the player a challenge are the actual syndicate missions, the drug house, the Underground tube station and the Warehouse. However these three missions arnt at the same difficulty rating than the end missions on the original SWAT 4, infact far from it.
The game offers a few new weapons and gadgets, but once you find your fave set up you don't really explore then, or need them.
Overall it was good to play more SWAT 4 missions again, it did have the quality and high GFX standard as the last, but the missions were too few and too easy.
My review is going by the 'normal' level comparing to SWAT 4's original 'normal', if you played at hard this of course would prove a bit more challenging for the later levels having to score 75 or more. But to do the Elite setting of scoring 95 or more, that would even be impressive on mission one to complete.
The only return value would be to complete the last few levels on the Hard difficulty setting, I don't think it would be possible to do them on the Elite setting as your squad is made up four other people with their own AI causing their own mistakes. Only way to possibly do it is to tell your group to waite outside and do it alone.
