Rainbow 6 - 4 LockdownOnce the game starts i first thought this really looks good! the graphics are really good and sharp, the detail on your squad is up there with other top shooters. You run fast and its smooth, you can choose from an array of weapons and grenades etc. Your squad is easy to command. Everything looked in place to be a really good game.
After mission one I thought it has all the elements of a good FPS, so why arn't I enjoying this?? So I did mission two, yup graphics, speed, all still there, but still not having fun... Confused.
Finished mission 3...Again still can't see why I'm not liking this.
I still can't see why I didn't like it that much, something didn't feel right. It's game play was just dull, I think it's mainly down to the enemies AI movement and detail, it just didn't feel that realistic if compared to say FEAR's it actually had similar feel to Regiment's enemies.
It's not a bad game and probably doesnt deserve to be in this section, it's good but something's not right. If played multiplay then this game i'd expect to be excellent, as it's only downfall is it's sheep driven sqaud of 'stay' 'follow' 'go there' or stand like a muppet if I don't constantly give you an order. And it's other bad point of the computer controlled enemies wouldnt be in.
Aha I've just found out why I dont like it..
(a) Dull squad you have to babysit with orders.
(b) Dull looking enemy with basic moves and AI.
Remove those two points then this has all the good stuff left that'd be excellent for Multiplay.
So only avoid his game if only playing Single player missions.
