HOSTEL review

Tarantino's new movie, very different to any of his others he's done. It's set in Europe and follows three 20 something yanks doing a tour, they start in Paris but the movie picks them up in Amsterdam where they are experiencing the typical dutch delights (hash n totty).

While they are there they bump into a guy who tells them the best place for them to go is Slovakia for the women. Unknown to the 3 americans they are then set up to be lead to an abandoned building where rich business men pay large amounts of money to torture/kill people.

The three americans are lead to this place by the tact of 2 nice looking lasses whose sole job is to trick them to get there.

It starts off all buddy buddy prankster stuff with plenty of jokes and T & A flashing about, then about two thirds the way through the movie does a complete U turn and turns out to be a sick gory affair.

Although its nothing like what Tarantino has done before, it does lend that style he used in 'Dusk Till Dawn' in the way that half way through the movie it changed it's theme totally, though this movie is more of a lead up to its twisted side, Dusk Till Dawn was an entirely different movie when they got to the Titty Twster bar.

Overall : Quite a good movie, a sick storyline but quite an inventive one. Not a movie to keep you returning to, as it doesn't have the clever dialogue pulp fiction and resovoir dogs has, but a definate must see, especially for horro fans who like a shasher story. Keep a look out for pulp fiction playing on a TV in the Hostel (dubbed of course).

Very Happy
