The Regiment Dissapointed to put this game in this section, I was looking forward to play it as it was described as SWAT 4 but being part of an SAS squad.
Initially it all looks well, nice intro screen, even the start of the embassy level looks promising graphic wise. But not long after you realise you dont have the command of your platoon like you do in SWAT 4, while at the same time you then notice the graphics arn't as nice as SWAT 4 and other modern top games, then when you enter the embassy the texturing of the very basic rooms are simple and bland (just like the game play) enter room and kill repeat this constantly is what it is, the embassy layout is awful and cluttered wth little rooms, bad design of embassy and highly unlikely to be real.
From a promising look to the outside in the gardens and embassy approach the graphics and character AI/animation/modelling/texturing takes a leap back of about 5 years. Add this to little command of squad and limited weapon use... well after a few goes it had to be un-installed.
I admit I didn't give it much chance as screenshots of tube station levels look like it could of been good fun, but the emabssy level (of which I was looking forward to most as it's a very famous mission) just ruined it with bad game play and design. Again not convinving me the rest of the game to be of any good.l
Could of been an excellent game, it had real SAS soldiers help wth tactics, if this was put to use with a team who had produced SWAT 4 or other top FPS tactical games then this could of been very playable. But the final result looked and played dated and basic, it looked rushed and it didn't have much team involvement as you would expect from a tactical based team game.
